A ministry built on one conviction
That every man, woman and child in Southeast Asia should be able to read the words of God in the language they think and pray in.
It began with a burden for one nation
B.E.S.T. Missions grew out of missionary work in Thailand. Dr. Bob Bowen saw what happened when a believer finally held Scripture in the language of his childhood — not a translation he had to wrestle with, but words that landed the first time. What began as one man carrying Bibles became a ministry carrying them by the pallet.
Today B.E.S.T. Missions is a ministry of FaithWay Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana, sending Bibles, gospel materials and training across Southeast Asia. Each of our representatives raises personal support, and every gift given to the ministry goes to the work itself.
We are not building an American ministry with an Asian address. We are putting tools into the hands of national pastors and watching the churches of Southeast Asia reach their own people.
How the work has grown
A missionary and a burden

B.E.S.T. Missions is established
The ministry is organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit under the authority of FaithWay Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana.
A base one hour north of Bangkok
Office, distribution center and worker housing are established in Thailand, giving the ministry a permanent staging ground in the region.
Distribution across the region
Regional distribution centers throughout Thailand supply churches, pastors and evangelists reaching into the surrounding nations.
A Bible college in every country
Our long-term goal is to help establish a Bible college or institute in every country of Southeast Asia to equip young preachers for the ministry.

The native language, always
A translation a man struggles through is a barrier. Scripture in his mother tongue is a doorway. We print and distribute in the languages people actually speak at home.
National pastors lead
The men who live in these communities will still be there long after any visitor has gone. Our job is to equip them, not to replace them.

B.E.S.T. Missions operates as a ministry of FaithWay Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana, and works hand in hand with sending churches and with the churches we serve on the field.
Practical help, freely given
Sound, printing, media and logistics are offered as a service to churches in need — not as a product to be purchased.
Accountable with every gift
We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit supported by local churches, individual donors and businesses. Each representative raises personal support so that gifts to the ministry go to the work.
Training that outlasts us
A Bible college or institute in every country of Southeast Asia means the next generation of preachers is trained where they will serve, by men who know the ground.
